Biography

Sungwoo-Chun is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Korea University Sejong Campus. His research focuses on the intersection of biology and electronics, specifically developing artificial tactile sensing systems that can mimic the human nervous system. Before joining Korea University in 2021, he conducted advanced research as a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Germany. He also served as a postdoctoral researcher at Sungkyunkwan University, where he specialized in bio-inspired adhesive surfaces. His work has been recognized globally, with high-impact publications in journals such as Nature Electronics and Science Advances.
