Joe Spica
started the Spica Bakery Equipment Co in the early 70's. In 1987, Jerry Rose
and Chuck Olender purchased the assets of this company from Mr. Spica.
Wanting a name that more clearly defined the nature of the business, they
decided upon "Bakery Equipment/Design Ltd." because it identified the
company both as a designer of bakeries and as a seller of all bakery
equipment, both foreign and domestic.

Jerry Rose is the president of BEDL and handles sales in the Detroit area visiting Detroit once a week. He is married with four children and enjoys golf, racquetball, and his sixteen grandchildren.
Jon Rose is the VP, accountant, and handles sales in the Chicago area visiting Chicago once a week. He is married with four children and enjoys all outdoor sports especially hunting and fishing.
Greg Taylor is a service man. He has been with us for over 10 years now and is the man you want fixing your Hobart mixer. He owns an old house and looks forward to the day he can sell it and stop working on it.
Michael Champion is our other service man. He has also been with us for over 10 years now and worked many late nights for us making sure everything is right in the field. He is also crazy with his Christmas lights every December, so if you find yourself in Grand Rapids, MI in Dec, just ask us for the address its worth seeing!
Nathan Amthor is our newest employee. He is in charge of keeping our computer systems working as well as web sales management and design. He also handles deliveries and pickups throughout the state of Michigan. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his daughter.
